Three elementary schools in the Kamloops-Thompson School District recently held a friendly competition to see who could collect the most food donations. Kamloops-Thompson Board of Education Meets with Local MLAs

The Kamloops-Thompson Board of Education met with MLAs Lorne Doerkson, Tony Luck, Peter Milobar, Ward Stamer, and Rosalyn Bird on February 6, 2025 to review escalating relief costs, rural recruitment and retention challenges, inflationary pressures on operating funds, and capital advocacy priorities for new schools in Batchelor Heights and Aberdeen. Read more

RCMP Youth Academy Prepares Students for Careers in Law Enforcement

This year’s RCMP Youth Academy ran from March 12–16, 2025 at Pineridge Education Centre and welcomed 10 students – six from SD73 and four from schools outside of our district, including Skeetchestn, Kamloops Christian School, and Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel. Read more.

 

SD73 Students Medal at the Cariboo Regional Skills BC Competition

On Friday, March 7, 2025, students in Grades 6–9 from the Kamloops-Thompson School District competed against other districts at the Cariboo Regional Skills BC Competition at Thompson Rivers University. Read more.
